Guidelines for Author

"Jurnal Jamu Kusuma is a Sinta 4 indexed journal, double blind peer-review, and is published twice a year (June and December)."

Submitted manuscript must comply with the following general provisions:
1. The manuscript have never been published in other journals, and or are not in the process of being published by other journals.
2. The manuscript should be prepared in English. Please have your manuscript proofread by a native English speaker or a professional proofreading service to ensure clarity of the writing.
3. The Manuscript should be in Microsoft word format.
4. A4 paper size (21 cm x 29.7 cm).
5. Top-bottom left-right border of 2.5 cm each.
6. Abstract is written in English. Abstract is written in Times New Roman font, 1 space, maximum 250 words. Equipped with keywords with a maximum of 5 keywords.
7. The manuscript are written with 1 space, Times New Roman font, font size 12, unless otherwise stated.
8. The maximum number of pages for each manuscript is 15 pages including tables and figures.
9. Table contents, table titles, table captions are written in Times New Roman font size 10, space 1. Table title center text. The number of tables is no more than 6 tables in each manuscript.
10. Image title (center text), and image description are written in Times New Roman font size 10, space 1.
11. The manuscript is accompanied by a statement of approval of scientific publication ethics signed by the author (format attached).
12. Tables, graphs and figures are inserted in the manuscript, with a minimum resolution of 300 dpi. Give a number and a clear description above the table and below the figure/graphic.
13. Maximum plagiarism limit is 20%.
14. The literature listed in the bibliography is actually cited and comes from the original source, so that the links written in the bibliography can be traced.
15. The bibliography is written in APA Style 6th edition, see the example below:

Author Fee (No Page Charge)
Journal of Jamu Kusuma is an open access journal. Since manuscript submission, authors shall not pay any processing and submission fees for article processing (free of charge), except for printed journal (shipping fee) and conference collaboration.

Guideline for Online Submission

Author should first register as Author and/or is offered as Reviewer through the following address: (LINK ONLINE SUBMISSION)

Author should fulfill the form as detailed as possible where the star marked form must be entered. After all form of textbox was filled, Author clicks on “Register” button to proceed the registration. Therefore, Author is brought to online author submission interface where Author should click on “New Submission”. In the Start of a New Submission section, click on “’Click Here’: to go to step one of the five-step submission process”. The following are five steps in online submission process:

  1. Step 1 - Starting the Submission: Select the appropriate section of journal, i.e. Original Research Articles or Systematic Review Article. Thus, the author must check-mark on the submission checklists. 
  2. Step 2 – Uploading the Submission: To upload a manuscript to this journal, click Browse on the Upload submission file item and choose the manuscript document file (.doc/.docx) to be submitted, then click "Upload" button until the file has been uploaded.
  3. Step 3 – Entering Submission’s Metadata: In this step, detail authors metadata should be filter out including marked corresponding author. After that, manuscript title and abstract must be uploaded by copying the text and paste in the textbox including keywords.
  4. Step 4 – Uploading Supplementary Files: Supplementary file should be uploaded including Covering/Submission Letter, and Signed Copyright Transfer Agreement Form. Therefore, click on Browse button, choose the files, and then click on Upload button.
  5. Step 5 – Confirming the Submission:  Author should final check the uploaded manuscript documents in this step. To submit the manuscript to Journal of Jamu Kusuma, click Finish Submission button after the document is true. The corresponding author or the principal contact will receive a notification by email and will be able to view the submission’s progress through the editorial process by logging in the journal web address site.

 

After this submission, Authors who submit the manuscript will get a confirmation email about the submission. Therefore, Authors are able to track their submission status at any time by logging in the online submission page. The submission tracking includes the status of manuscript review and editorial process.

Submission Requirements

As a part of the submission process, authors are required to check their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. That no conflict of interest of any financial support or any relationship or other, exists during the research project.
  2. Registration and login are required to submit items online and to check the status of current submissions.
  3. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  4. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  5. Where available, URLs for the references should be provided.
  6. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  7. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
